The stage is set for an exhilarating display of determination, and sportsmanship as the Amputee Football European Championship returns for its third edition, taking place from June 1st to June 8th in the picturesque city of Evian, France. Organized by the French Amputee Football Association (EFFA) and European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF), this prestigious tournament promises to captivate audiences worldwide with its remarkable blend of talent and spirit.
Building on the success of previous editions held in Turkey in 2017 and Poland in 2021, where the Turkish team emerged victorious on both occasions, this year’s championship marks a significant milestone as it welcomes 16 formidable teams from across Europe. For the first time in the tournament’s history, the expansion to 16 teams reflects the growing popularity and inclusivity of amputee football, offering more players the opportunity to showcase their skills on the international stage.
Divided into four groups, the competition is expected to reach new heights of intensity and excitement. Among the frontrunners are the reigning champions, Turkiye, whose presence on the field makes them a perennial threat. However, they face stiff competition from England, winners of 2023 Nations League Division A, who are poised to challenge for the title with their strength and strategy.
Adding to the drama are the bronze medalists from the previous championship, Poland, who are fueled by a fervent desire to clinch the top spot this time around. With their eyes set on victory, Italy enters the tournament with determination and ambition, aiming to break into the top three.

16 Teams Which Qualified For EURO
France will be the host of the EAFF EURO 2024!
Next year in May and June 2024 in Haute-Savoie in France the 3rd European Amputee Football Championships will take place. European Teams will begin to qualify for the most important event for Amputee Football in June during the first EAFF Nations League Tournament. Sixteen teams will have a place to play next year in Evian. Martial Saddier, the president of the Department of Haute-Savoie recalls that “in France disability was a departmental competence and the organization of the Nations league marked the will of the department to fully fulfil its competence of accompaniment to the person.”
The EAFF European Championships will be played in Haute- Savoie from 31st May to 9th June 2024. The previous editions of the European Amputee Football Championships were organised in Istanbul and Krakow. Turkiye was crowned two times as a Champion of the continent. Thousands of people gathered at the stadiums in Turkiye and Poland. Hundreds of thousands were watching in TV and millions following official social media content. We are sure that in France we will see even more supporters watching amputee football on the highest level. “Our department is a land of games and exceptional international sporting events.
