It was a great celebration of amputee football at Cracovia Stadium on Sunday evening. Opening Game Poland vs Ukraine has been watched by around 7000 spectators at the stands. The tournament was officialy opened by Mayor of Krakow, Jacek Majchrowski and UEFA Ambassador, Jerzy Dudek. Before the first whistle sounds, fans could watch an impressive Opening Ceremony, which culmination was pitch performance of Championship’s anthem “Razem” sang by Sound’n’Grace band.
Poles defeated Ukraine 3-0 very confidently and become a leader of group A. Other groups start competition on Monday, 13th September.
14 countries will be competing in the second European Amputee Football Championship. On Sunday, 19 September, after 38 matches we will get know a new European Amputee Football Champion.
