This edition of the Amputee Football Junior Camp brought together 74 young players from 14 countries and 24 coaches from 11 nations on the shores of the Black Sea in Eforie Nord.
This year’s camp was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of the Federația Română de Fotbal and the UEFA Foundation for Children.

It’s a symbol of the growing commitment to football for all abilities in Romania and across Europe .
“Organizing for the first time a major event dedicated to amputee football in Romania is a challenge, but an important moment for the development of football for all abilities in our country,” said Florin Șari, Social Responsibility Manager of the Romanian Football Federation. “With Junior Camp 2025, the Romanian Football Federation sends out the call for involvement to all enthusiasts of the beautiful game — to get involved and become part of it, as players, as coaches, as volunteers.”

Over the course of five days, young athletes honed their football skills through professional coaching, dynamic drills, and plenty of friendly matches. But the camp was about much more than training – it was about creating unforgettable memories, building friendships across borders, and celebrating the joy of the game.

“The EAFF Junior Camp is one of the most powerful expressions of what amputee football represents — resilience, unity, and hope,” said Ian Clarke, Secretary General of the European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF). “Next week in Romania, we welcome a new generation of trailblazers — young athletes who are not only overcoming adversity, but leading the way for others to follow. Their courage, energy, and passion for the game reflect the very best of our sport. They are changing perceptions, breaking down barriers, and showing the world what is possible when opportunity meets determination.”

One of the highlights came when the parents joined the action on the pitch. Kids turned into mini-coaches, shouting out playful advice like, “No, Dad, use your other foot!” What followed was laughter, celebrations, and plenty of fun – proving once again that football truly unites generations.

At the heart of the camp were the coaches and player ambassadors, many of whom have been part of this journey for years. Their passion, energy, and commitment are what make this event so special. We were proud to welcome new faces this year, including more women coaches than ever before – a meaningful step forward for representation and diversity in our sport.

As the sun set over the Black Sea each evening, it was clear that the Junior Camp had once again lived up to its spirit: a week filled with football, friendship, and memories that will last a lifetime
